If we go for the 2pt conversion (and the win) near the end of regulation against Arky and get denied, do we still go to the NCG, or did we need the "undefeated in regulation" thing to make our case?

I was bumming around youtube and watched the game tying TD and started wondering.

    what a season.....

LSU giving up 50 points looked probably worse than if we had lost 28-27 in regulation.

I still think Herbstreit pushing for LSU to be in the championship due to their "entire body of work" was the kicker and everybody got on board (other pundits). And this was near the end of an OU shellacking of Missouri.

Assuming we make it, I think it was a 50/50 that Dmac and co would drive down the field and score again. They did have enough time if memory serves and were scoring pretty easily.

The bigger what-if is the end of second overtime PAT. Nutt would never have expected a 2pt conversion and that would have ended the game on LSU's terms. They weren't having much luck stopping us either evidenced by the score. I know we could have lost there but it just seems so much more Les's style. :thumb:
