He took a historically very bad football program, the Pac-10 version of Miss State, which had won only one game under his predecessor and proceeded to win seven games his first year. He has a winning percentage of 70% when the most anybody else has done at Cal in 20 years was win 50% of the games one season. Winning half of the games at Cal was considered so succesful, that the Cal Coach, Steve Maruicci, was able to parlay that to a job as a NFL HC. Tedford's Cal was co-Pac-10 champions with SC last year, and should have gone to a BCS bowl game in 2004. And, all this while the program was still under probation and limited scholarships.
What PAC 10 school are you a fan of. Not being an ass but had you pegged as a PAC 10 guy for a while now and just curious.
The only thing I don't like about RR is his teams always seem to lose at least one game a year that they shouldn't. He would definitely carry on the tradition of locking up the LA talent though. I definitely don't want Tedford and his no defense, West Coast offense ass at LSU. Gotta pass on that one.
Tankers................... Scouts................. are you freaking kidding me? Everyone knows that ENGINEERS LEAD THE WAY BABY!!!! Geaux Tigers.
Not slamming CLM, or Saban for that matter...but if that's the case with RR, he'd fit right in! Should we lose to Kentucky this year? Should we lose to ANYONE in '03? Should we lose to UAB in '00? Just sayin'.
Would like to see this move over all others. I'd wish Les good luck. If it happens he came here won and left...just like our last coach. I wouldn't be that upset especially if we got Spurrier.
