You bring up a great point about JJ.

How the heck is he going to ever succeed if his O-line is committing penalties, and his receivers are dropping the ball and everything else that point to horrible coaching and obviously poor practice sessions leading up to games?

Any chance you can get...pitiful. Coaching is why Terrance Tolliver...who USED to catch the ball...now can't catch? Has the coaching been so terrible he's forgotten how to catch?? You're beyond transparent.

Which is why Randle, who does catch the ball, succeeds.

You see we sequester the players we want to perform poorly so we can coach them badly. The good ones, we just tell them to show up on Saturday.

I read the transcript and he said no such thing about interceptions. He said JL "MAY" be throwing pick sixes in practice, but then goes on to say he isnt allowed to watch practices. Ie he has no fricking idea. Let me add that JL may be throwing 100% TD passes in practice. I'm not allowed to watch.

Wow. You reached this conclusion from the chat transcript? Guilbeau is now the seer of LSU football? Quick, can someone find out if he thinks LSU will cover the spread vs TN?

I have heard this myself more than a few times this year and mentioned it in another thread. Other media members and sources have also mentioned this during the spring and fall practices. Haven't heard specifically pick 6s but INTs. However, none of that matters though. He needs to take his shot to prove he has corrected that in game situations because he will get that chance.

Dildeaux is right about the fanbase having catastrophe syndrome again.

He and a some of others, constantly bashing LSU and comparing them to Saban's bama teams, is a lot of the reason.

Actually, he said the media doesn't get to watch practice and for all they know, Lee may be throwing picks left and right. Its a valid point: we really just don't know what Lee looks like in practice.

GG also spent a paragraph talking about several programs that won national championships in recent years with great defense and special teams, and only mediocre quarterbacking. Mentioned Tennessee with Tee Martin a couple of times, though I think Martin played better than JJ is playing now.

This team can’t get into any kind of rhythm offensively because it is so undisciplined. If JJ throws a pretty pass, the receiver either drops the ball, or otherwise if we complete the pass, someone else commits a stupid penalty. Hence, what would have been a very manageable 3rd and short situation ends up being a very unmanageable 3rd and Crowton situation. Hence, no wonder JJ is so ineffective; anyone would look horrible under those circumstances.

If our guys catch it, Jefferson's numbers look a lot better and he wouldn't get frustrated so much. You could see it in the WVU game, he was making pretty good throws in the first half only to have wright drop an easy one in his hands at the end of the half, tolliver let one go through his hands for an interception on like the 3rd play of the game. I don't even want to talk about Shepard's drops.

Honestly, Jefferson annoys the hell out of me because he is so erratic and throws to one guy (especially when he's frustrated) but he shows flashes where he can be pretty good. For instance the 3rd and 12 throw where he scrambled, stepped up, and found the open receiver for a 20 yard gain only to have it called back for holding.

If he could stop getting frustrated so easily then I think he would be ok but I'm almost certain that ship has sailed and we're stuck with a headcase of a QB.
