As some of you know, I am an adopted Tiger via marriage. My alma mater is App State. We lost to Penn State in OT today and had chances to win. Just like the damn Tennessee game two years ago and Weak Forrest last year.Had a lead with 1:45 to go and missed a 56 yd field goal at the end.It was a great game with a bad ending.Close but no cigar AGAIN. On a positive note, we don't quit and our new QB looks pretty good. The Tigers better stomp a mud hole in the convicts or my weekend will be a total loss. GEAUX TIGERS!
App State is one program I wouldn't dream of scheduling if I am a big time school early on. It's not yet in perception where it should be which is in actuality a really quality FCS school. Not one to take lightly. Things have been close, but even when you haven't closed out the deal the fact it is consistent against a myriad other schools only reinforces there's no flukes and the talent gap is not what most think.
Thanks, it's another tough one to swallow. We just don't quite have enough depth to get over the hump...yet. Good news is we came from two TD's behind and should have won. Think we should fare well against the rest of the sunbelt. We have UNCC next week and they have been talking a lot of junk. I hope we are not down to much next week, I am hoping to show them what a real football team looks like.
