To take it further, there are differences in taste depending on how it's bottled. The Coke in 8 ounce bottle is better than the cans and canned coke is better than those in plastic bottles. The best is the Coke imported from Mexico in 10 ouince glass bottles. It is made with rral cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup.
Good on you. On my first ship, all we had was water, coffee, and tea. The engineers always managed to get fuel in the water. Even today 40+ years, when I taste water, I taste that damn JP-5. Unless I am really hot, so I drink way to much diet soda, and fill in the rest with tea.
do a blind taste test and let me know how it turns out,.. I give you points for pointing out the effect the containers have,.. and of course the fountain drinks vary from cup to cup I always buy 2 liter bottles of coke/pepsi, they taste the same,.. they sell Shasta cola here, it's different, bad.
I have had Pepsi served to me thinking it was Coke. One sip and I knew I had swill instead of the real thing. My .mother bouzht some Shasta one time but we wouldn't drink it.
Jeff Gordon won the Coca Cola 600 one year. The winners circle had a huge Coca Cola sign above where the winner was supposed to get the trophy. One of Gordon's big sponsors was Pepsi. He refused the go to the winners circle and got a big fine.
