I read that earlier. She's spot on and an excellent spokes person for the black community. It's unfortunate she's in the minority as to her voice being heard. Fucking idiots like Kaepernick will continue to get the lions share of attention. A couple of years ago someone gave me a pair of Nike's as a Christmas gift. I found them and tossed them in the garbage.
It is no longer possible to christen something “The Most Fucked Up” since it’s such a race to the bottom. Daily. But, this fiasco is very, very close. Not sure what’s worse. Kaepernick’s addled brain having the thought in the first place, or Nike for responding. I can’t afford Nike stuff, but if I had any, it would be gone.
Yet Nike stock has gone up enormous to add $3 billion to the bottom line. Who the hell are all these idiots who are buying into Comrade Kaepernick's lunacy?

I think Nike's primary market is under 35 and urban - and they're a global company. When they shake the trees with crap like that they gain much more than they lose - from the over 35 'Homer Simpson' crowd like us. I'll pay a premium for a truly great running shoe like Brooks, but not overhyped, overpriced stuff from Nike. Before all this, at the most i would buy Nike flip flops, and if they were on sale maybe running clothes - maybe. But Nike doesn't give a shit if i don't buy there flipflops because of their anti-American crap when there's 2 other people willing to pay hundreds of dollars for sneakers because of it.
