I have scientifically determined by the ratio of "sucky" teams vs "good" or "very good" teams on LSU and OSU's schedule this year. The Tigers have had to play more good teams and less "sucky" ones this season as opposed to OSU who quite frankly have played a lot more "creampuffs" this year. (Sorry OSU fans, but alas this is the truth). So next time your little nips get all excited and tingly about OSU's chances, you may copy this and use it as reference to help calm down. You can of course disagree, as is your right, however, I based my research on years of watching football on TV and consuming many cold beers and hot boudin. Hey, and it just is what it is... To quote a familiar saying down in Tiger country... "Have a great day" Schedules/Results Ohio State (11-1, 7-1 Big 10) Sept. 1 Youngstown State W 38-6...sux Sept. 8 Akron W 20-2..............sux Sept. 15 at Washington W 33-14....sux (this year anyway) Sept. 22 Northwestern W 58-7......sux Sept. 29 at Minnesota W 30-7......sux Oct. 6 at Purdue W 23-7...........sux (at that point in season) Oct. 13 Kent State W 48-3.........sux Oct. 20 Michigan State W 24-17....good team Oct. 27 at Penn State W 37-17.....good team Nov. 3 Wisconsin W 38-17..........sux Nov. 10 Illinois L 21-28..........very good team Nov. 17 at Michigan W 14-3........sux LSU (11-2, 6-2 SEC) Aug. 30 at Mississippi State W 45-0....,,,sux (they did then anyway) Sept. 8 Virginia Tech W 48-7..............very good team Sept. 15 Middle Tennessee W 44-0..........sux Sept. 22 South Carolina W 28-16...........good team Sept. 29 at Tulane W 34-9.................sux Oct. 6 Florida W 28-24....................very good team Oct. 13 at Kentucky L 37-43 (3 OT)........good team Oct. 20 Auburn W 30-24....................very good team Nov. 3 at Alabama W 41-34.................sux Nov. 10 Louisiana Tech W 58-10............sux Nov. 17 at Ole Miss W 41-24...............good team Nov. 23 Arkansas L 48-50 (3 OT)...........good team Dec. 1 Tennessee (SEC Champ.) W 21-14.....good team :tigereye::crystal::tigereye::crystal::tigereye:
Seems logical to me. tOSU sux almost twice as much as we do. We should win. No offense phlashman but I hope this analysis is better then your Bowl Pick Em analysis.
Wisconsin went 9-3 and Michigan went 8-4. Disappointing perhaps - especially for Michigan - but I don't know if I would say they are bad teams. And what no one seems to understand concerning Ohio State's schedule is, just because a team does not have a tough a schedule as other teams does not mean it is a bad team. There are good reasons why LSU could - and perhaps should win - win the NC game, but the same could be said of OSU. This is going to be a very close game.
Hmmm..OK, lets put that in perspective...What do you think UF is gonna do to Mich? Personally I think they're gonna clean their clock. Wisc hasn't had a "banner" year either. OK, lets make this simple...who in the SEC is the equivalent to those teams. Are they as good as UF?, Aub perhaps? I think this game is gonna show without any question at all who the "real" number 1 is! Take that how you like.
Why sir...thems "fightin" words. Man...ya just had to go there huh! Hey, I still got the other half of the board yet. :thumb:
