I don't know about that. If I remember correctly they beat two very good team's Kentucky and Georgia Tech on a neutral site and that is if you want to consider Atlanta a neutral site for GT.
they wouldnt have gotten that far. odds are they wouldve lost one or both of the first two at a neutral site. those were great runs. just pointing out that both brady and brown had their share of ups and downs. for me, all things considered, their careers are the same.
Far from the same IMO. Brown has 2 Final Fours, 4 SEC Championships, 11 straight trips to the NCAA Tourney, a 31-5 team, 448 wins, the 1981 team won 17 straight SEC games.... All of this when SEC basketball was much better than it it is now. Brady can only get the the NCAA tourney once every 3 years. "Jowels" Brady is a joke.........
1. They both took over when the program was not very good but I disagree their careers are the same. 2.They beat Kentucky and GT at a neutral site, two of the best teams in the country so to say they would'nt have got by two lesser teams such as Purdue and Memphis at a neutral site is something I don't agree with.
brown's 2 ffs and 4 sec titles were in twice the # of years as brady's 1 ff and 2 sec titles. plus, no sanctions for brown's teams (although he caused it), no home court in ncaa tourney for brady, and tougher to get in ncaa tourney now with parity (scholly limitations).----wash.
It's not tougher to get to the tourney now....it's easier. The level of competition in the SEC is much weaker now than it was in the 70s, 80s and 90s. College basketball as a whole is weaker now than it was then. Here's a news flash......don't finish last in your conference, as Brady has done, and you can get into the NCAA Tourney. When Brady goes to the NCAA tourney 11 years in a row, it'll be a wash.
you mean like in '04 when LSU finished 2nd in west and didnt get a bid? its much tougher for lsu to get in the ncaa tourney now. because of less scholarships, midmajors get better players. its undeniable that more mid majors get in now, and less teams from big conferences do. btw. brown didnt take lsu to 11 consecutive ncaa tournaments.
