Brady's departure is long overdue. The Final Four was a fluke because of the players involved, and every other year he has done just enough not to get fired. Some of you may disagree, but I believe it's time for change in the men's basketball team. Hopefully the new AD will take a long look at this team.
are you referring--- to how motivated his team was while losing a greater than 30 point lead at home in the second half OR how motivated his '90 team (you know, the one with the most talent ever assembled on one court) was in giving up a double-digit lead to GT in the second half in the NCAA tourney?
You guys need to realize, a final four at LSU gets you 4 more years of coaching, (a sweet 16 gets you 3). If he wins a NC he will be the coach for life! Now that I think about it, getting into the tourney gets you 1 more year.
Since everyone has an opinion on this. Here's Rosetta's opinion... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/12286396.html
If anyone posting in this thread is older than 25 years old I'll respect your opinion on the Brady subject. Everyone else hasn't followed LSU basketball long enough and went through some frustrating times with the incredible talent some of Browns teams had and went one and done or two and a BBQ in the Tourney. Do you realize that he had one of the best teams of all time with Jackson, O'Neil, Roberts, Singleton ETC and couldn't get out of a regional? Brady isn't a Coach K but he can get the job done. You people just need to support the team and go to games no matter who is coaching.
who are you and what have you done with islstl? The LSU basketball program is a joke. And it's not because of the players, it's because of the pathetic coach we have. Brady should have been fired years ago. But because SB doesn't care, he's still here. If LSU had a coach that was worth a crap, we would have won it all 2 years ago.
How about the 86 team that went to the final four with a 6'6 center or the 87team that came within seconds of making a second consecutive trip to the final four. Rudy Macklin does'nt break his thumb the week of the semi final game against Indiana I believe LSU win's it all. Brown may have left the program in a mess but he also did a lot of good thing's while he was here. 10 consecutive trips to the big dance.
