I have noticed that some people, (and I am not talking about anyone on this board), want to keep Brady and at the same time want to get rid of Miles. Is this insanity, or am I missing something? Does anyone else know people who think like this, or am I choosing my friends from an insane asylum?
that was a disaster, and a complete letdown. A trerrible coaching job by brady. thats something special to be able to dominate a game like that, and then give up 35 points in the last 7 min. THATS MORE THAN THEY GAVE UP THE WHOLE REST OF THE GAME!!! brady is a special man. :nope: I love anything that represents LSU, basketball and baseball almost as much as football. Ive spent nights sleeing on the P-MAC ramp waiting in line for games. Something needs to be done with the coaching staff for this basketball team. I believe baseball was adressed. Now its time to look at the basketball team. i want to be known as AT LEAST a 2 sport school.
Doesn't sound like we will repeat what Florida did last year. I'll be satisfied with one though.
I know Brady did a horrible job as always, but he wasn't the one fouling guys while they were shooting 3's, missing free throws at the end of the game, or making bad decisions with the ball. We missed too many free throws the last 4 minutes of the game and that hurt the team a lot.
im not asking for back to back to back championships in all 3 sports, just to be nationally known in all 3. and it couldn't hurt for a championship run every now and then, in either of the 3.
For the guy making the Florida comments. First, let's make this comment after the Hat actually wins the NC, b/c I'm sure if he doesn't you guys will be back on this board wanting a new coach to replace Miles. Second, I agree with the post above. We don't have, nor will we pay, for a Billy D to go with Les Miles. Nor will we invest in a hoops practice facilities or spend money on hoops. We give that to football and baseball. So, pick your poison my friend. Considering we're picked to finish last in the SEC West, and 'Bama and Auburn picked ahead of us got smoked by other Big East schools, LSU's one point loss to ranked Villanova on their home turf should be taken in context.
Lord, how quickly do people forget that we went to the final four two years ago? I know last year was disappointing folks, but we're 5-3 in an early season. Jeesh, I think only three or four SEC teams have even been to the final four in the last decade... LSU being one of them.
Guess what. it is still a game that SHOULD NOT have been dropped by LSU. with a 21 point lead and only 1/5th of it left to be played..... If it had been a close game, and lsu lost it, thats more acceptable. ABSOLUTELY not giving up that big of a lead I have never called for miles to be gone, in place of ANYONE else. Dude if Brady would keep our basketball team at anywhere near the prominence that Miles has had our football team for the past few years, you wouldn't hear a word from me about getting rid of him. So i don't want to hear that. Now again, im not asking that lsu's Basketball team, baseball team and football team all finish top 5 every year. But with the level that LSU is known at nationally, i believe all 3 should at least be hitting top 25 at times through the season. EVERY SEASON.
Outside of the trip to the final four, what else has Brady done? Look at his record, he has only been over .500 in the SEC 3 times (not counting the 2 times he was right at .500). He has not done well in the NCAA or NIT tourney. His trip to the final four bought him 2-3 years without having to worry about being fired, but if he doesn't do well in the conference this year he should begin to worry.
