Bottom of the 3rd...Top of the order up for LSU, and LSU goes down 1-2-3. Watkins strikes out (2 strike-outs at two at-bats for Watkins today). Nola grounds out to 3B. Dean grounds out to 1B.

 

Top of the 4th... Lineout to Hanover. Single, runner on 1st. Pitch in the dirt, runner tries to take 2nd, and Gibbs guns him down!!! 2 outs. Walk, runner on 1st again. Another walk, runners on 1st and 2nd. Groundout to Hanover to end the inning.

 

Bottom of the 4th... Gibbs singles to center. Hanover takes the plate. Ball. 2nd pitch in on the way... and Gibbs tries to steal 2nd... the 2B goes to the bag to get ready to try to get Gibbs out at 2nd... and Hanover connects... and hits it right where the 2nd baseman was originally standing!! Gibbs gets to 3rd. Hanover on 1st. Landry knocks a sac fly to CF and Gibbs tags and scores!! (Run #2 for LSU). Catcher loses the ball and Hanover goes to 2nd. Mahtook grounds out to 2B (2 outs), advancing Hanover to 3rd. DH Gaudet takes the plate. Strike one. Strike two. Gaudet singles to right-center! Hanover scores!!! (Run #3 for LSU). Delatte flies out to CF to end the inning.

They didn't even try to throw him out at 3rd! Nola hits a sac fly to CF, and Watkins scores easily!! (Run #4 for LSU). Dean strikes out. Gibbs grounds out to 1B for out #3.

It's not looking like much of a double-header as the basketball team is already down 11-4. I would shoot 3-pointers all night against LSU as we don't even attempt to defend the shot.

Tasmin Mitchell's career about to end at LSU. He's third in all-time scoring.

 

They just said he has 1,948 right now... #3 in LSU history (behind just Pete Maravich and Rudy Macklin... both of whom have their numbers retired and hanging in the P-Mac). He was #5 just a week or so ago, behind Shaquille O'Neal (1,941) and Howard Carter (1,942). Bob Pettit was right behind them with 1,916.

 

Ole Miss is 6-9 shooting 3-pointers. Why not?...It's not like we're going to attempt to defend it.
