How many times in the history of college football has a team been beaten by one that isn't better than them and shouldn't have beaten them? LSU is famous for letting teams that have no business competing with them stick around and look like legit teams. WKU is legit.
FWIW Syracuse lost last week to USF, got pummeled by them actually. And EMU got smoked by Akron. Akron allowed less points than LSU did and USF allowed the same amount of points LSU did to Syracuse. This team still worries me. Like 2013 offense doesn't concern me. Sure the passing game isn't great but the run game is the best I've ever seen. It's the D/ST that's the huge concern. Generally LSU is a team that relies on the defense and special teams to win the field position battle and allow the offense to score on a short field. This year it's on the offense, if there is a game where the offense just can't get much going, forget about it. Game over. This defense reminds me a lot of the Saints Super Bowl defense, sans all the turnovers. If LSU's D can start forcing a lot of turnovers they could be good enough to get the job done if the offense struggles. This WKU game has trap game written all over it. Doesn't mean I think LSU will lose.
