Get real. Les' recruiting has been consistently good. But you get a slump at a certain positions from time to time, everybody does. We have one at QB now, but almost nowhere else. We had two quarterbacks transfer last spring and were thin. Les was forced to play Harris as a freshman instead of redshirting him like most freshman QBs, so he could learn and get stronger. Harris should be much better this season. Too soon to write him off as a useless Les Miles recruit. Waaaay too early.

Yes, he deserves credit for the talent he has brought to Baton Rouge as well. It's too early to write him off, sure, I'm just predicting that he will be a bust. LSU isn't the only school that has been forced to use a freshman at QB. Others have done it, and have been successful. Jennings seems to have a better command of the offense but his skill set isn't that of Harris'. nothing I've seen has lead me to believe either guy will be good. Maybe both will be serviceable, maybe Harris will be great, I don't know. All I can do is take what I've seen and come up with a prediction, and that prediction is status quo from last year. Another 4 to 5 loss season. With some luck a 2 loss season, another national championship when pigs fly. Really I hope I'm dead wrong, and I'll be the first to admit I was and I'm an idiot. I hope I have to.

If passing game shows up, defense doesn't crash and burn, I think we'll be ok. It doesn't seem like so much to ask for. But last time we had a passing game (is it 1 year in the last 10, recently) our D was hapless. If Miles keeps surviving on the excuses of his apologists, seats gonna get hotter.

PS - LSU has excellent fans, though maybe the die hards are getting priced out (Alleva bashing, anyone). Plus Jingle is selling LA down the river.

We had good qb play in 2005 save a few games, 2006 save a few, 2007, 2013 was decent and 2014. Miles is .500 at best at fielding a qb.
