Enough with proping up these other louisiana schools I think we should play 1 a year on a rotating bases and THATS IT! Playing 2 or 3 of them in one season is only hurting us!
Meh - I like these schedules. 1. Enough solid teams to make a valid run at #1 from a SoS standpoint. Especially if we pick up a BCS school to open 2011. 2. Not so tough that we run out of steam mid-SEC run (hopefully). 3. SEC schedule has good balance home/away and quality based on the "new order of things". I think we're set up pretty good for what is probably going to be a couple of very, very talented teams. opcorn:
From what I've read Southern Miss asked to get out of next years game and reschedule it to 2011. On such short notice didn't leave Vern much time to come up with a higher profile opponent.
I think we should play 8 home games. The SEC regular schedule and SECCG is enough SOS, (unless of course you are Auburn).
uhhh, i thought we canned tulane for north carolina? i don't mind the ULM game as much. out of 4 ooc games playing two teams like wva and north carolina is a step up. baby steps peeps. LSU is always always gonna play at least two auto wins a year. i like next year's sched although i never really want to play an FCS school.
unless we dropped Morgan City High School, picking up McNeese is a step backerdz dude, we just inked mcneese and nothwestern STATE who is 4-15 against mcneese since '90. tickets/gameday activities ain't cheap. if i wanted to watch the Southland Conference, i could save a boatload of money and just geaux to Nicholls games instead. fine we play a couple auto wins. there are 120 div 1 schools the bottom half of which should be an auto win. surely at least one (non directional louisiana) team has an open date somewhere on their schedule. might as well get used to it it looks like we'll never go more than 2 straight years without 'em
