Very prestigious. For those not familiar, the AP selects players from the entire NFL to form it's All-Pro team. Last season he made the 2nd team All-Pro for the very first time.

Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Matthieu also were first team All Pro this year as well. So 3 All Pros from LSU.
Does any other school have more?

Beckham was 2nd team which is a travesty IMO. He and Brown are the 2 best receivers in the NFL.

Julio Jones got in over Beckham. Julio had more catches and over 400 more yards with 1 more game played, but Beckham, in 1 less game played, had 5 more TDs. What do you value more? More catches and yards or more TDs? I guess it depends on game situation. Hard to argue the sure pts on the board of a TD, though. Yards and catches without the TDs can mean a whole lot less. A TD is 6 or 7 pts regardless of game situation.

Jones also has a good QB and a running game. The Giants have that waterhead Eli and no run game and everyone knows the ball is going to Beckham.

All pro is part longevity where you are more proven. Beckham stays healthy he'll be fine.

I think it was more an indictment of his antics in that Carolina game.

Actually looking back at the stats, Julio had a monster year on a team in which his QB played like shit most of the season. So Julio deserved it. But it certainly hurt OBJ's chances when he didn't get to play that suspended game.

I don't see any reason to argue Julio getting the nod over OBJ. Both had exceptional years on shitty teams. Julio put up monster numbers. Second team All Pro is a great accomplishment for a second year pro, OBJ will have his time, no doubt about that.
