This...if he went this year, he would (1) get picked by a team that he would start early in his career and (2) get the 1st overall and about 41 million. Which is a lot more than he could get after the cap takes effect and if he drops out of the top 5 picks. I think it says a lot about his character, but if I was his dad I would say take the money boy, you can go back and get your degree like Shaq. Like the kid will ever use his degree.
I can assure you the draft will not look like that. He knows he's losing money, he's not an idiot. There must be a reason why he's staying that he values more than going to the NFL. The teams at the bottom of the league are always the ones with QB issues so he shouldn't be too far off next year.
Maybe Harbaugh will go 0-16 on purpose to lock up the first pick in the draft next season and pick Luck.
Yep, it's not about the money for sure. He's already guaranteed being the No.1 pick, so its hard to improve on that. Remember Matt Leinert. He would've been the No.1 pick had he come out as a JR, but he returned for his SR year and fell to (I think) 10th.
