Man I guess since Saban burned the Dolphins, they don't care about burning other people, namely their own coach, Tony Sporano.

How do you offer 7 mil to a guy, while you still have a coach?

Luck is staying in school? Sounds like a very defensive move in the face of a NFL lock out.

He claims he wants to finish his degree, which would mean he will be staying at Stanford for 2012 also. Isn't he a redshirt sophomore?

Technically they can't make an offer until they satisfy the Rooney Rule. But I doubt that stops anyone.

He is a redshirt sophmore, but he's had 3 years in school already. so he'll finish up

It's not that big of a deal. Bradford came back for his senior year and he got hurt and missed out but still got picked #1.

Good for him. He probably chose Stanford anyway because he cares more about being smart than he does football. I'm going to assume that he had offers for many other schools, but chose Stanford because of the academic side of college.

Good for him. The guy's obviously not in it for the money, so I don't see how this is a mistake for him. Stanford fans def don't think it's a mistake either. Teams know what he is capable of and will likely still be the top QB drafted next year. Being a senior and the stud QB on campus is what you dream of.

Not the best decision from the way I (or Matt Leinart) look at it.

Carolina came out and said they would pick him #1. That's big money.

Not only could he have a poor year (like Locker), get hurt, potentially be a rookie salary cap after the CBA is put into place..... but what if next year the draft looks like:

1st pick: Detroit (Stafford), 2nd pick Tampa (Freeman), 3rd pick St Louis (Bradford), etc. He could face to lose big money just at the potential of the first few teams not needing a QB.

Tampa went 10-6 with a very young team. I doubt they will go from 10 wins to 2 or 3. If I had to guess, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and maybe Houston will be near the bottom.
