Bayou has been gracious in his compliments on a NC team. No doubt with the consistency of the LSU program, I'll get the opportunity to say as much, unfortunately, back at him, in the near future. That's football and being dominate is not a birth right, just a lot of hard work and talent.
Wasn't that long ago, all football fans could have seen this scenario between the top two teams in the AP poll. Alabama vs somebody else in the sugar bowl and Bama wins big. Notre Dames chooses wisely and goes to the Orange bowl to play a hand picked Kansas State. They win another close one and ND wins the championship, based on the erroneous idea they were best and undefeated. A few years ago, just "getting in" was a lot more problematic. And I can assure you, NO A&M boards in my future, regardless. The SEC has the next 8 months to figure out how to corral this kid. The folks in the conference office has made them the first SEC team on our agenda. If we look like we looked in T-Town, again, then I would agree with your assessment. But I subscribe to the belief, there's not a cowboy who can't be thrown.
I respect the board owners, who allow crap like this on the board, unlike the Bama board folks who are too skeerd to allow LSU fans to post. Congrats Bama for snagging our ex-coach. Seriously, congratulations on the NC. Y'all are on a great run.
The reason so many of us Tiger fans were so upset when Saban went to bama is because of what has happened. We all new this was a strong possibility with the recruiting advantages at the capstone. I believe however that the sec has in place several programs and coaches that are determined to derail this roller coaster and have the ability to do it. I can't wait for the wars tocontinue.
