Well, just in case all this "legend" stuff fails to materialize, you do know there's always EA Sports. Good enough for Mike.
There is a reason teams don't fear the honey badger. He's a playmaker, not a true cover corner. His lack of size will prevent him from going high in the draft when he is ready to come out. His special teams play will help though.
The pros are truly stupid as I think they are if they fail to see the worth of Tyrann Mathieu, apart from worrying about his lack of size. And are you really believing the Bama fans who say they don't "fear" the Honey Badger? Teams DO fear him. He makes plays that teams can't even begin to anticipate, so they can't prepare for him.
Last year, I repeatedly saw Mathieu make amazing All American plays, the same type that ripped the heart out of my Ducks. Maybe not a perfect CB,.. but he's a game changer,.. the kind that wins games.
Not agreeing with the Bama fans, just making an observation. That's why Mathieu rarely lined up man to man at CB. He played more of a 5th DB type position where he could roam the field, blitz, and make plays. He has an incredible instinct for the football. But he is not the same type cover corner that Peterson or Claiborne were.
Always a strange discussion the way it gets framed. Tyrann will not replace Claiborne's precision and expertise at man to man, anymore than Mo would replace what the honey bunny did as the disruptanator. (yes Tigertap I make this stuff up as I move along) LSU is stuck in the same circumstance that Bama find themselves on their D. Looking for the next great cover guy to step up. Given what is probably in both cupboards, the search should not take too long.
