I am confused, isnt the regular season a form of a playoff ? You play the teams in your division and the team that wins that playoff moves onto to the conference championship game... They not only didnt win their conference but not even their own division. Technially UGA lost in their playoff to UT.. Anyway, I agree there should be a form of playoff, however I hate to break to UGA. One of the rules will be you have to win your conference to even play in it. IE You would have been left out. UGA is a great team, but sadly you didnt win your division. I guess I am confused. Anyway who cares. LSU is the undisputed National Title this time. No split crap. If anyone has a bitch recently its Auburn, Not UGA...

Funny thing is we do have a playoff in the SEC. LSU won. UGA didn't even get to the final game. If we let them "win it on the field" - you take the BCS Conference Champions, even the 1st and 2nd place teams, and UGA sits at home and doesn't even get to play in the Sugar Bowl. You need to be careful what you as for - you might get it. :rofl:
I love how if I try to rationally, and maturely discuss an opposing viewpoint I'm called a whiner. I'm not whining... I don't think that UGA deserved to be in the national game, I never even said that. (again, I'd love some reading comprehension without preconceptions) I was just saying why I felt he shouldn't act as if the president was being a baby. Regardless of whether or not everyone involved (fans/players/staff) felt cheated, the proposition for a playoff should never have been automatically attributed to crying...what if the voters jumped to such conclusions? It's that type mentality that could keep the playoffs out of NCAA football forever, which would truly be a disservice to everyone involved imo.
I follow what you are saying, but I do believe that as a College President, he is one of the ones responsible for the BCS as it is now. It is the Presidents that have opposed a playoff for years. And now all of a sudden because he feels he got screwed so he wants to complain about the BCS. I would love to see some good suggestions on setting up a playoff system. But this just seems like sour grapes from the UGA President.

To answer your question, yes, we think Georgia is being ridiculous for being upset about not making it to the Nat'l Championship. The season is twelve games, if your lucky. LSU was playing dominant ball in the first half of the season, but thats not why we played in the championship...we lost two games and you lost two games but we happened to beat both the teams you lost to, how is that not comprehensible?
