My reaction to every single story/video/soundbite on this issue is exactly the same: is this serious? Ole Miss really intends to retain the nickname "Rebels", but try to associate it with some kind of animal or character mascot? Give me a freakin' break!
the hotty toddy dude reminds me of the charlotte hornets old mascot that used to wear the full spandex suit and would slam dunk off the trampoline. they should just use a klansman in a red plaid tie with an adult beverage.
