ESPN and some others are saying its the Heat!
Which is interesting because with basically zero cap space after those 3, who are they going to put around those guys. You need role players to win in the NBA, who's going to sign for the league minimum and have a big impact?

I don't see how Miami can swing this. Unless all 3 decide they are going to take drastic pay cuts. And i am telling you, if i were the Heat Coach, i would be getting my resume ready. We all know Pat Riley loves to kick his coaches to the curb when he feels he has a team he can win a championship with.

I heard Chris Broussard saying that this morning, too. I think that LeBron's camp "leaked" that it would be Miami to throw people off. All signs point to New York. We won't know anything for sure until tonight, I'm afraid.

I know alot of people are over it, but I hate to admit since I have a dog in the hunt it's actually kind of exciting for me.....which is fine b/c there ain't shyt else to watch right now.

thats true, they would make around 15-16 a year each, so thats 45-48 million of the cap, I think the cap is 4 this year.

Id be totally surprised if he went to NY, but I could happen because I believe he is more concerned about his brand than winning.

To me, outside of staying in Cleveland, Chicago is the best option, with Rose and Boozer, LeBron would be set. He would still be the undisputed #1 and have a team around him that could win it all. But even that option has it's draw backs. The expectations of him should he go to Miami or Chicago would be thru the roof. In Miami, those 3 will be expected to win 3-4 championships and the NBA fans will be wanting to see a Miami/Lakers matchup on a regular basis. Should that no happen, it might be considered and epic fail. In Chicago the expectations would be similar, but even worse because the Bulls fans would expect nothing less than Jordan like results, anything less and his legacy never reaches its potential, although I can see with him Rose and Boozer it might be a very similar situation to Jordan and Pippen.

To me, should he stay in Cleveland he will always be King and the expectations are for him to continue to bring a solid winning team, and get at least a championship. He still gets considered as one of the best ever bringing life to an otherwise dead ball club. The biggest problem here is that winning the championship may never happen. As much as I think Brown was part of the problem with not being able to finish in Cleveland, the bigger problem is that the Cavs just don't have the horses around LeBron to finish off the other big boys in a 7 game series.

Of course my opinion on LeBron may not be as strong as some others. I just don't think he has the mental strength to be the closer that many think he is. He may be able to close games in the regular season, but the post season is a different story. If I had the choice of putting the ball in the hands of Kobe or LeBron with a series on the line, I would choose Kobe 10 out of 10 times, and I am not a Laker/Kobe fan.

I am gonna stick with my initial prediction, he stays with Cleveland, I could be wrong though, but I just don't see the other options as a smart move on his part. The expectations for results would be too high, and he has proven to fold under that pressure in the past. Anything less than extreme greatness and dominance would/could be considered an epic fail.

With all the hoopla, fanfare, secret meetings, late night phone calls, misdirection, etc.... The expectations are already through the roof. Those people in Cleveland should demand better, they gave Lebron the world and the players he wanted. From what I know and I have some credible sources, Lebron has turned into a azzhole. His friends and associates have free run of the place in Cleveland, from riding on the team plane to yelling at Arena and team employees and just being total jerks, including Lebron himself, cussing out ball boys and other employees.

Then he goes and quit on the team in Game 5 and 6. I will admit I never really liked him because he hadnt won anything but came with so much hype, but this confirms my dislike of the guy. For as much as people hate Kobe because of his character and alleged criminal behavior, they can't deny his desire to win. I seriously question Lebron's desire to win.

And maybe I shouldnt post of all of that because its hearsay, but I believe the people who tell me these things.

Well, whether he is a jerk or not I think we both agree that much of the fanfare he hasn't lived up to the hype. Unlike Kobe, like I said, he just hasn't proven to be the closer that Kobe is, and I'm not sure he ever will be regardless of where he signs. And that's from someone who, like I said, isn't a Laker/Kobe fan, but I do respect the mans abilities. He actually may need a Wade or a Rose to do the closing for him since he hasn't proven he can do it himself. That killer instinct that Kobe has and Jordan had just hasn't shown itself in Lebron.
