    Kind of lame that he sat out the last 2 games to get it, but his main competitor, Daniel Murphy, was also out with a strained ass. But hey, SCOREBOARD, right?

    I'll never forget his clutch 2-out 2-run double in the bottom of the 9th in game 1 of the CWS. We lose that game and there's no 6th national championship because the kid from Texas shut us down in Game 2.

    The other guy was out so why should he have to play? It would be different if the Cubs hadn't locked down the division.

    Nevermind I'm an idiot he doesn't play for the Cubs. Still though, the other guy was out.

    Not like when Ted Williams was right at .400 on the last day of the season. The manager asked him if he wanted to sit the game out and Ted said Hell NO. But in DJ's defense there is probably a clause in his contract where he gets bonus money for winning a batting title,
