That explains it. After all, with him being our only true WR in that class you would think we could have signed a great one. Rivals definately dropped the ball on that one. Dropped the ball---get it---oh well, I guess I'll stick to the serious stuff and leave the comedy to someone else.
I don't blame Alem, the depth we have at D-Line is just incredible. Must be extremely tough to get on the field.
Robinson is at Northwestern State, playing defense. He never did seem to work out at LSU, so now he is closer to his hometown, Winnfield, LA.
Not exactly. It was just the smallest class. 2007 = 3.88 stars per player. (3rd) 2006 = 3.64 stars per player. (4th) 2005 = 3.69 stars per player. (4th)
No, he just didn't have many scholies to give out that year, the class was one of the highest rated per player in the country. He did lose a couple of 5 star guys that had commited or who LSU was leading for under Nick, but overall Miles did a wonderful job shoring up that class. And then getting LaFell, Jackson and RP made it very solid.
One year later... Hawkins is listed as the starting CB going into summer. I hope Holliday comes back to football, but we'll see. Well, so much for that... Haven't heard anything about him, likely buried in the depth chart. Transferred. Won't see much of him this year, but he may make an impact before he leaves. Maybe a early second day pick? Anderson left the team, and Lyle Hitt is the starting RG going into summer.
I think if you can get 1/2 of your recruited class to contribute during their stay, you have been successful. Miles continued success on the field appears to be giving him the luxury of choosing one great kid over another. In the long run, it would seem that the % of recruits that contribute might increase. I'm not disappointed in the least with one of his classes. And it certainly seems like the hits just keep on coming...
