So you agree with martin that "there is no chance anyone gives a damn about humankind".

Are you really as self-righteous, egocentric, and selfish as martin? Worse, do you imagine, as martin does, that everyone shares his character flaws?

No, you are just encouraging him to bait me.

in my defense, while i am self-righteous and egomaniacal and selfish, i am less so than almost everyone else, that s why i dont need to adopt absurd viewpoints in order to reassure myself that i am not terrible. if i was worse than i am, i would need to find an outlet for my guilt, like catholicism or liberalism or environmentalism.

also i think everyone i know would describe me as one of the 5 nicest people they have ever met.

I'm sure you are. They all talk about you, though.

Look you deny the science of global warming and failed to prove your point, you decry all environmentalists, also without logic, and at long last you attempt to deny global warming by suggesting that it prevents us from solving all the worlds problems in the third world. Since we know that you care nothing for the third world, you must launch into a diatribe suggesting that all the world is as myopic and shallow as yourself. That anyone who is an environmentalist suffers from religious guilt.

And then you end by morphing the discussion into your psychological problems with selfishness and guilt.

I am not fooled, amigo. It's just another attempt to win an argument by changing the subject to one so ridiculous that no one will respond to you. SabanFan and myself keep pushing your buttons though, because we get such a charge out of it.

to be clear i dont deny that the earth is warming, i suspect it is. it is always warming or cooling. i think that people vastly overestimate their ability to make accurate cause/effect judgments. this is a well-understood fact about human nature. in fact the freakonomics dudes recently wrote up a thing about it.

i think you understand my point about why global warming is at best a third-tier global problem. the next level would be for you to understand why the proposed solutions worsen the first-tier problems.

    i like it too

There is much more of a chance for an Meteor to hit the earth or damage a city than the so called man made Global Warming to effect us if it was true. I'm surprised there is any debate in this issue left. It is all politics of the loony left. Al Gore, his movie and predictions are the perfect example not to mention the exposure of all of the fake science over the last few years.
Just like Liberals have become Progressives Global Warming has become Climate Change.

About 230 meteors hit the earth every day . . . and night, too.

You should pay better attention. It is all about science and you got nothing scientific to stand on.

    Exactly my point!
I don't need anything scientific to stand on, all I have to do is bring up the inconsistencies of those that claim this man made thing is real.
Lets look at Al Gore's move for starters...

You do if you are going to argue whether AGW is real.

Look amigo, you are not arguing with AL Gore, you are arguing with me. And I'm not going to try to debate an article.

If you want to make a point, fine. I'll be happy to give you my opinion.
