I think the poor third down conversion rate on our D is in part to the experimentations w personnel but more so with the LBs and DBs. Our LBs are faster than normal but take poor angles and dont tackle well. I think Minter is a huge loss. Alexander and Jones are much better on the outside. Our DBs arent lock down CBs and our Ss are weaker than normal against the pass. We really need Mills, White, and Robinson to step it up. We also need Loston to finally get it. Or other Ss to step it up against the pass. If that happens then we can help out the DL with more blitzes. I think the DL gets a good push, we just need more help with blitzes. LSU has always gotten a lot of sacks but in large part due to blitzes. We dont have Webster, Peterson, Mathieu, Claiborne at CB or Landry, Steltz, Taylor, or Reid on the back end. Thats the difference with the D.
