Okay, I went to bed with a lump in my chest..we had lost but I knew that I was better than that to lay my head down all day. So, when picking out my wardrobe I quickly chose the purple polo with the gold emblem on it; this would definitely make me stand out. I was going to be proud of my school even if they lost, I am no fair weather fan like my father! Anyways, to the point I was trying to make...all day today, in counting, I saw 6 people wearing Tiger gear. SIX! I don't even see that many in Texas on gameday. It just seems weird because you would figure all the Tiger fans would be disgraced... I bet I would have seen more if they had won though, but that is beside the point. Did anyone else see this today? I'm especially curious about Baton Rouge.
I have no idea, I drove from the Gainesville area to Orlando today and when I got home I took a shower and have made sure that the couch didn't float away for the rest of the day... Actually I take that back, I stopped for gas on the way home and did see two guys walking out of IHOP with LSU shirts on. Does that count?
The grocery store I work at was DEAD today, which is very odd for a Sunday, but that could be from the bad economy too.
i went to the winn dixie on coursey blvd here in BR early this evening. including myself, there were 12 cars in the lot with LSU flags and i counted 19 people wearing LSU shirts or hats. don't know if that's the norm or not for that store on a sunday evening, but it's what i saw. i almost always count lsu geared peeps at the grocery store. i'm just seldom there on a sunday evening.
well, i was the only one in lsu wear at the grocery this morning but given my location, thats probably to be expected.
last year when we lost to kentucky i put on my jersey and went to the mall, the place with the most people in Southern California and reped LSU i love them when the lose i love them when they win college football isnt about being the patriots its about heart and i love LSU :crystal: we still have 3 of these:wink:
I woke up yesterday morning and the first thing I did was to put on my purple and gold. I will also be wearing some more purple and gold today to work. I am never not proud of my team, I am and always will be a true fan. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
Other than suits, etc, I don't think I own a piece of clothing that isn't Purple and Gold. (But I fix that with a Purple and Gold tie!) This has been pointed out to me on many occasions.
I've been in my P&G all day sunday and my first day back at work had my P&G hat on. My wife even asked me on Saturday, with about 2 minutes left in the game, "Why are you still watching, you know it's over." I told her that I take my licks with the team. Win or lose, you watch/listen until the last play. It's how I was raised.
I wore my LSU cap to the gym yesterday. Why wouldn't I? I love my Tigers, win or lose. That being said, half of my 3rd period honors class just Gator chomped me, but that's okay because most of those boys are OU fans...
