Yes thats the point. He matches up much much better. Hell Jai or Hawk would have probably made the play too.
Well thats what Im saying, it was a miss match B/C peterson was hurt, not b/c coaching. He took petersons spot. Its not a big deal, this is all opinion based anyway.
How do you figure? He get's pushed in his back by a man twice his size and he still should have made the play? I agree, that he didn't get blasted from behind, but the push was plenty enough to knock him offstride. However, had Peterson been in the game that play would've never been called. Where was Eugene, Hawkins or even Claiborne?
No he did not take peterson's spot. He is the starting ss. There were two true CB's on the field. we chose to place them covering different receivers. Look it doesn't matter. We can't change it. But this is why I say you really do not understand this game. I mean no disrespect, but you prove it over and over again in you posts.
LOL no, you are trying to say that SS cant make the play when in fact, he was in postion to do so. It was man coverage. The fact that peterson would have made the play vs taylor is personel issues. Jones faked him out, simple. I understand the point that if peterson was in taylor would have lined up on someone else, but b/c peterson was out taylor rolled over. Like I said its all opinion based on what you THINK shoulda happened. The fact that you think someone else should have line up somehow means I don't know what Im talking about. The play was scripted, IT WAS GOING TO JONES no matter what. Once peterson came out of the game it was decided.
Look I understand where you're coming from that one of the CB's should have lined up on Jones. But imo it didnt matter, Jones was getting the ball that play. Taylor got play faked by jones, then blocked and jones flew right by him. Could of happened to any one who lined up on him. Yea, another player could have made the play, but when Taylor was in position and played it wrong, its on taylor, I dont buy off on this bad call crap. Maybe a pass on the coaches for not preparing taylor for jones, but the call was right, personel was not. Just b/c i disagree with you has nothing to do with my knowledge of the game. Scheme's only work with the right people which is why I will almost always back the coach. Just hope for the best.
