Actually, LSU should give Alleva 3 days to clear out the AD office.

Well, Alleva will have a chance to leave his print on LSU football, lets hope it's a good one.

and do you really trust that will happen? i dont. i have been vocal that i dont like him since the day he was hired.

i cant remember who, but someone said as long as alleva didnt f*ck up football or tailgating it would be ok.

not sure he isnt gonna f*ck up both before is all said and done.

As I said on another site,

Alleva came here as an insular executive with no groundswell of support and with a bad track record of self preservation in the lacrosse debacle. He basically sold the athletes down the river in the name of political correctness instead of protecting them in the name of truth. Lives were ruined.

All of his actions here were based on consolidating support by galvanizing public opinion for himself, taking advantage of the anti Miles sentiment that was prevalent on the internet.

During Alleva's tenure here, I can't recall one single instance. in which he supported coach Miles.

-There was the annual "rollover" of Miles' contract instead of a nominal extension of it.

-There was not a single public vote of confidence for the coach who has: the highest winning percentage in all of LSU football history, a national championship, two conference championships, The best recruiting percentage in the schools history, etc, etc, etc....

-There was not a single press release in support of coach Miles (that I can remember).

-There was only an e-mail to the fans asking them not to boo the quarterback....and some information leaked out that disassociated Alleva's name from the retention of Crowton when the internet was rife with rumors that Miles was forced to keep Alleva because of possible mixed messages with regards to the financial climate.

Apparently Alleva's decisions are based on the public perception of both Alleva and Miles via the internet...You know, the internet that Miles doesn't give a "Rat's A$$" about but apparently Alleva is a slave to.

Coach Miles has balls and Alleva has none.

Give me a coach that has guts and produces results instead of a self preserving little weasel of an AD that's more suited to the corporate structure of British Petroleum than our inspired halls shaded by broad magnolis.

Give me the shady oaks and not a shady AD !!!

But folks, don't worry about Alleva's ability to hire a new coach...I bet he has no real power to do so anyway. I think he's just a puppet of a few of the BIG MONEY boosters in the upper echelon of the TAF.

Those people own the rear ends that Alleva is so willing to kiss.

Those are the people who will bring in the next coach.

What happened to 'Les loves LSU so much he'll never leave' talk?

IMO Coach is using Michigan as leverage for more money and an extension on his LSU contract. The last 3 years he's finished 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd in the West, but he's hot because he beat a very mediocre Texas A&M team in a second tier bowl. He's not getting any younger and is at least smart enough to know that at 57 he doesn't have time to build a winner a Michigan.

That said it would be obscene to give this guy a raise given the financial bind LSU is in.

Miles looking for: extension on his contact, a higher buyout if fired, an elimination of his $1.25 mil buyout should he leave on his own...not a higher salary

Jordy also mentioned Miles displeasure with the way the Ridley situation was handled. Miles feels it should have never leaked.

When you consider there haven't been any premier coaches available to fill any of these open positions, no one except the leaving coach holds a winning hand.

Bhelm has been real quiet. If anyone would know what's going on I would bet it would be him. Wish we had some news. Been going crazy for a week now.
