Besides, what Cam Newton did last year should forever put the lie to this idea that a JUCO can't be extremely effective in his first year as a starter in the SEC. And we don't even need that level of performance, we just need consistent competence.

And neither did anyone else, that's the point. Les will not show his cards to the Ducks or anybody else. With all the talk about how good we are, everyone will bring there best game, why give them a blueprint on how to beat us. I hear the closed practice is totally different than what we watched Sat.

btw JJ looked better in his throwing motion than he has in the past, so I would say he is paying attention to Krag.

Jj was like 4 for 12 with 2 int and a fumble.
I think jj really did show his hand

I'm tired of making excuses for Jordan Jefferson, so here's another one. ;)

Maybe his thumb was just bothering him too much. Some of the things I saw from him were better, mechanics, his footwork, and getting rid of the ball quicker. His accuracy was crap, but again, maybe the thumb was bothering him.

I wonder if Mett knew that the second he launched the deep one to Boone for the TD, he automatically started the quarterback controversy for this season.

I was watching with a friend, and I looked over and said, oh no, let the games begin. :D

Jj would have to cost us to lose several games due to his poor play before he loses the starting job. As long as the tigers win miles will not pull jj. Jj can look like shizt as long as the tigers win. That's how it was last year and nothing will change. Jj still plays poorly- 4 for 12 2int 1 fumble- and will still start.

I dont understand how anyone with numbers like 7 TD,s and 10 INTS would every deem them the clear cut starter. Miles has been more than blatant about saying that he likes ZM talents, and that he is behind merelly due to experience in the system.
It's like being hired on any new job and expecting the new guy to know more than the guy who has been employed for 4 years. No matter how talented ZM is, its just too soon to expect him to grasp the offense in its enitirety.

But as many have stated, it will be a long summer, and ZM's talents, and overall QB ability should have him starting before the end of the season. I just hope that we don't have to lose a game before they make the switch.

you have to take into consideration his mobility. If he wasn't a guy who could hurt you with his legs, he wouldn't be the starter.

We had no viable options last year, this year we will have options at QB.

It's going to work out. Jefferson will be ready. Give Krags some more time to work with him, and let his thumb heal, and let him get comfortable with Fobbs, and Boone and company and I think JJ will have a great senior season.
