I'm probably too reactionary, but I think he should go too. And sooner rather than later. One of the first rules of coaching is that you adjust your scheme to the players you have. If you've got five slow, smart and tough basketball players, you pack them into a 2-1-2 or 2-3 zone and try to slow the game down. You don't have them play man and run a motion offense. If you've got speedy receivers and a QB who can sling the ball, you don't run the wishbone.

Spaggs, however, seems to be bound and determined that his defense is going to be run his way. And (as the funny Indian guy in "Short Circuit" would say) for the sake of Pete, a stunt? a twist? something other than four defenders rushing straight up the field on an obivous passing down?

Interestingly, I was asking the question last night. If the Saints' front office decided it was time for Spaggs to go, who is going to make that decision? Kromer? Vitt when he gets back? Loomis when he gets back? (Who the f is the interim gm, btw? I've gooled it and can't find the answer.) CSP when HE gets back? Del Demps? Monte Williams?

I truly don't think Brees is the problem with the O. Pete Carmichael isn't the play caller that CSP is. Period.

Brees isn't the problem, Brett. It's the O-line. I think Brees has already been sacked more times through 4 games this year then he was all of last year. The Oline played better yesterday, at least pass blocking, and you see how he carved up GB's D.
