    You've got to fit scheme to players and if Spags can't adjust his scheme to fit these players this might get horribly ugly.

    Anybody else thinking Lou Tepper all over again?

    And btw is Elmer F'ing Fudd the BEST referee available for this game?

    I seem to remember that Coach Payton, as part of his suspension, is prohibited from even watching Saint's games on TV.

    If they really wanted to punish Payton, they should have required him to watch every game, at least twice. Although, then, he could have argued that would have been a violation of his constitutional rights as the punishment violates the Eight Amendment to the US Constitution.

    This saints team isn't terrible, but there's a ton of (hopefully) fixable problems. Pass rush is non-existent, receivers dropping passes, o-line can't protect Brees, etc.

    Oh and the replacement refs are fucking terrible.

    That play cost us 7 points. I also thought they got the Lance Moore call wrong, but we scored on that drive anyway.

    outgained by KC 510 yards to 288...that's just shocking...

    Cassell threw for more yards than Brees...and J. Charles ran for 233 yards...more yards than just about anybody in NFL history...237 yards in a game is the best game Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, or Emmitt Smith ever had

    It will be interesting to see how many other record-shattering performances opponents put up on our D this season

    Saw this stat yesterday and it astounded me. The Saints' opponents are 0-6 so far this year when not playing the Saints.

    Spaggs should resign. This defense is laughable.

    I don't know what is up with Brees but he isn't himself. He doesn't have the fire he once had. Maybe winning the Superbowl was enough. Maybe getting his payday was enough. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that is driven by money but whatever the reason, the fire and fight he once had doesn't appear to be there.

    Agreed. They should let Chase take over the rest of the year and let Drew heal his injury. Prolly won't win any games either way.

    Even if true about Brees, I will never allow myself to believe something like that. He's made a few bad throws this year but overall has put up some good numbers. I feel that being a leader is in his DNA and this ultimate test will bring out the best in him (even if the team goes 0-16 b/c of the D).
