Basically Good Sources from the Inside said that Lloyd Carr Tried to Sabotage any chance we had of getting Les from you guys by getting Rich Rod on the phone with our AD 20 minutes after Les Miles got off the phone telling him he would Consider us but only after the SEC title and Potential National title games leading to Rich Rod getting the Job At the Urging of Lloyd Carr Before Les Miles even had a chance to say no..... All ancient History Now but the "blood fued" between Les Miles and Lloyd Carr was apparently very strong. and 4 years later when we took a 2nd run at him we already had burn't that bridge even with a New AD....

But it all worked out for Both of us. You guys got 2 National title Appearances and we got Harbaugh albeit 8 years later......... Hopefully Les Can find some Magic of his own for you guys next year. Saban's deal with the devil has to run out eventually.....

excellent first post and second. Can you refresh my memory on how Les wanted the michigan job but your AD didnt answer the phone. I forgot the details before les caved when the story broke. Much like saban and texas.
