He's in a position of power but his name carries no weight relative to the university he represents. He's weak. He's got to show some balls and make sure LSU's best case is going to be heard and loudly. None of this gee wally we tried bullshit. Gotta get someone in there with some clout and some stones. I don't think he's a bad guy but more aloof and gullible than anything. And that's worse given his position. He better hit a homerun with the coaching hire bc our future and his depends on it. I've heard him speak before but I think this one is revealing. Either way I think LSU is too big for Alleva. This from a 5 min interview. I'm sure everyone's been knowing this since he's been here but I never realized he was this passive. Can't win key battles with a female AD.
He should've at least gotten out front and reminded folks about 2005 beginning Tuesday when it was apparent UF were going to drag their feet. And I hope he's taking Sankey to task behind closed doors, but I would be surprised if he did.
Sankey should be fired. This should never have happened. I can't believe that lying bastard (UF's AD) said that by Wednesday afternoon they were sure they could play the game in Gainesville. What freaking planet was he on? Even if the storm didn't affect Gainsville there was no way they were going to be able to get any medical staff or first responders to support the game. That alone should have made it obvious to EVERYONE that game could not be played in Gainesville. Sankey abdicated his responsibility to the UF AD and now he's fucked and probably so are we. They will end up trying to make us look bad because we won't play on the 19th of November. Alleva was right about a lot of things, one that caught my attention was concerning the tie breakers for determining the division champions. They almost have to make the head-to-head the first tie breaker, cause if we win out and the Gumps get the nod for having the best winning percentage I will personally lead the attack on the SEC HQ. I'm pissed!
This will totally BLOW if we don't get to play Florida. Winning, esp in Gainesville, is my favorite win to get. 1 and 1A with Bama.
I heard this this morning and I had the same thought, except for the female part. I've met some women who are on top of their game.
Alleva said that was bullshit, but so what if they did. Our November schedule would be more of a bear than it is, s Alabama would have to be bought out, and we'd lose home game revenue. That's jumping through hoops because UF is run by pusses, idiots, or kniving bitches.
