I think if you add their stats together, that's what we would have gotten out of Hill last year if Blue never played.
I'll take Hill over Yeldon any and every day of the week. Don't remember Hill coughing up the football, saw Yeldon do it quite a few times.
here's SEC-ONLY stats from last season. in grey are guys that are gone. Hill is more like Lacy Blue is more like Yeldon i'm not sure who i'd take if i could pick between Blue and Hill, both hopefully we have both
This and has anyone besides me noticed how far behind the LOS Yeldon sets up? He is not the fourth in a series of Gump RBs known for their power. He relies on getting up to speed to blow through the line through holes created by the Sumo wrestlers up front. Once in the backfield, that extra speed makes him a harder target to hit as well as making a would be tackler tentative. I think he is just a fast pussy. Hill might be a punk ass bitch off the field, but he's no pussy come game time.
Blew by a bayou defense like he was out to practice early when it mattered most. Is someone in denial? Hill in those same anxious moments following the rally in death valley, hurt himself trying to get out of bounds. A play that was completely unnecessary. Had he simply moved forward he would have had the first down, stopping the clock. Instinct, it's a great running backs best friend.
You realize the average sports information director is getting paid a little under 100K a year and your more successful sports writers don't make half that amount?
It's the coaches Preseason All-SEC team, to be clear, and is meaningless, to be clearer. I don't dispute Yeldon. Dude's great. JHill will prove to be great over time, as well. I find it hilarious that the Heisman winner is not first-team SEC, and behind Murray, no doubt. All-SEC team at end of season will no doubt be littered w/more names from LSU and Bama.
