Dieon Jones and Kendall Beckwith didn't make 1st or 2nd team. Jamal Adams only made 2nd team. Fournette was 1st team along with Alexander, White, Adams, and Pocic were 2nd team.
The only one of those I'd call a snub is maybe Adams. Pocic didn't finish the season strong and Beckwith couldn't cover a 300lb offensive lineman if he went out for a pass.
I think all of that is correct. This defense was not very good this year and Adams made way too many mistakes that were costly. He certainly wasn't in the top 2 safeties in the SEC. Our LB play regressed as the year wore on. Nobody deserved to make the team.
most linebackers can hardly cover anyone. the best linebacker of all time didnt cover shit in lawrence taylor but that didnt matter. beckwith has good instincts, can stuff any run and will be better off when he has players he can depend on. which means he better not go to the saints. but im not sure anyone got snubbed on our shitty defense. debo plays sideline to sideline better than kb however due to his speed.
Adams deserved 1st team and I'm sorry but Dieon Jones deserved 2nd team. I agree on Pocic. I don't think he deserved either.
LT's job wasn't to cover anyone, he spent a large amount of time with his hand in the dirt. Beckwith isn't an outside rushing LB, he needs to be able to cover a RB or TE occasionally. He wasn't just LB bad in coverage, he was horrible.
hes not going to have to cover much. hes going to be his numbersakes ray lewis knocking peoples dicks in the dirt at the LoS. which is why hes going to be taken pretty high.
Brandon Spikes couldn't cover either, neither could Mayo, Larry Foote is another guy who couldn't cover worth a damn, they all had pretty decent NFL careers. He won't be asked to cover much. When he does he will likely get roasted.
