Ok hear me out......... If Mizzo wins the Big 12 and Florida beats Alabama in a VERY CLOSE Game (Overtime losing on a missed 2 point conversion or a last second field goal...something like that) Could it be possible to see Florida move to #1 and Bama just drop to #2 setting up a rematch?
No, and this would be an awful thing if it happened. OSU and Michigan never should have been the BCSNCG in 2006... Texas and Oklahoma should not be the BCSNCG now... and Florida and Alabama should not be the BCSNCG now either. The SECCG will be the final say for Florida and Alabama.
Nope I agree... I think those rematch games are retarded... if they couldn't win the 1st one, why should they get a second chance? It'll be the Big12 and SEC.
This is why all conferences need a conference championship, and those teams duke it out in a short playoff-type system. We were very close to a Michigan vs. Ohio State matchup in '06, and that would have made me sick. All we need is UCLA and USC to go all the way to the end one year, and the media will put them in. No thanks.
yeah it should be a pre-req, if you don't win your conference you can not compete for the NC. Particularly in the current BCS setup.
