This is all I will say.

I will not answer anything else in this thread, nor in this forum until mid week.

    Lee 11 TD 9 INT

Stafford as a freshman 7 TD 10+ int

Russell as a freshman 50% completions
Lee as a freshman 60% completions

LSU defense = gave up 38 points

LSU offense = scored 38 points.

The moral of that rumbling is:

blame the LSU defense, not Lee.

Since your not gonna answer, I guess I will just post this to see myself talk.

Lee threw 3 INTs 2 for TDs the other the defense HELD THEM to a FG!

We were playing against 2 potential Heisman candiates.

The defense has problems but Lee is a bigger cause to the teams problems.

Of those 11 TDs that Lee has thrown how many have been little dink passes or screens that the WR or RB did all the work to score, and how many were all Lees arm???

And then how many of those INTs are the WR or RB tipping the ball, running the wrong route, or missing the catch completly and how many were all Lees Arm?

    Just one please:

Karl Marx said "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." How do Obama's policies differ?

I agree. We need to give Lee time to develop. Yesterday I was pretty hard on him, but after I cooled off a bit I have a better perspective. Lesson: Don't post when you are angry.

Dude, no is saying Lee doesn't have corrections to make but the problem is the DEFENSE.

    Like Clair pointed out.

    Offense scored 38 points.
    Defense surrendered 38 points.

Shall we go back and look the the defensive statistics for the year?

This defensive scheme is PUTRID and absolutely unacceptable.

The offense did more than their job. The defense has done far less.

We have FAR LESS weapons on Defense then we do on Offense. The only problem with the Offense is 2 QBs that cant throw and a 3rd that is mysteriously injuried!

On Defense we dont seem to have a LB that is willing or able to lead the team, we have a secondary that is constiently out of position, a Defensive line that can not get a decent pass rush, and more importantly DCs that dont disguise blitzes and run a stupid package on the GOALLINE that puts 4 DE on the line and every single one of them rush the QB allowing him to walk UNTOUCHED 5 yards into the endzone.

Which one is the easiest to fix?

Oh, just throw out a statement and declare that you will not tolerate any dissent. You won't post again until Wednesday? You know that really breaks our hearts. :dis:

Sorry, Clair. The defense gets its share of the blame by giving up so many big plays . . . but so did Georgia. The LSU offense posted 497 yards (more than Georgia) and 38 points. We win almost all of the games where we post those numbers.

And yes, our freshman quarterback is playing like most freshmen. BUT, he has earned part of the blame here. This was a 14 point game and Lee is responsible for 17 Georgia points including two pick sixes. Take out those costly mistakes and LSU is IN this game, despite the big plays the defense gave up.

I don't blame Lee for being a freshman, but he doesn't get a free ride either. The QB has a responsibility to not throw TD passes for the other team. Throwing it away and punting is disappointing, but forcing it into coverage is irresponsible. Thats four TD interceptions this year! Lee will get better, but he has to swallow the bitter pills along the way, that's part of gaining experience. He was supposed to get that gradually by that backing up Perrilloux this year.

Ryan Perrilloux is ultimately the person to blame for our offensive problems. He was being groomed to be a veteran starter this year. His slacker attitude to his team and his subsequent dismissal is why LSU is weak at QB.

As far as the defense, we have speed, strength, and talent, but our safeties don't know what they are supposed to do half of the time. It's a coach's job to get players ready to play properly. I think Les had better find himself a new Defensive Coordinator and perhaps a defensive back coach for 2009
