Most of those 2 stars were overlooked by almost every college in the country, so it is hard to blame Rivals on that. Considering the shear numbers, there are bound to be tons of guys that don't get enough coverage every year.
Considering the track record of our coaches, it's probably more important to look at who they offer and who they don't. A perfect example is Rivals blowing up the reputation of Michael who looks to be a good rb but apparently the staff at LSU does not think he will fit. Despite an LSU offer, we have not accepted a commitment from him. There are also plenty of other players that don't get offers for whatever reason. The primary reason I assume, would be how well they fit into our program. And I doubt anyone knows that as well as the coaches that implement it. Recruiting services are great and it gives us dorks something to worry about in the offseason, but at the end of the day, we will still have to trust the LSU staff first and foremost. The rest mostly seems to be guess work.
