I love the look of Perilloux in a balanced offense. It was all him at ESJ but with a backfield to support him he looks even better. I thought he was gonna be a ball hog type but he looks pretty dam good.

Something smells rotten in Tinnysee. With all the street agent talk in south florida and now this run of commits, it just makes you raise your eyebrows a little.

Aw give Phil and his staff their due, they have alwys been great national recruiters. Now this sounds like an Auburn board.

No, I don't think things are crooked, but I can give you one name that is killing it on the recruiting trail.....Trooper Taylor, the same guy that was at Tulane last year. He is in on everyone of these big time guys. Believe me, Phil Fulmer may not be the greatest coach around, but he is the best recruiter in college football. Plus being around sooooo long, he gives the guys a comfortable feeling that he'll be there all 4-5 years.:helmet: :helmet: :helmet: Hopefully Les will do the same for us.

He ruled out Tenn last week. SO i hope tiger rag is wrong. but who knows. I'll see coach woods tommorow in church and ask him, hopefully he wont dodge the question. His HS coach thought enough of him to fly out and watch him play the game. I never had a doubt about him being good, what I had a doubt about was when I emailed Dandy don, he said LSU would take a look at him. This was back in Dec 1st before Saban left. From what I hear around town ( batesville ) Derek reall ywanted to learn Corner under Saban. The kid just wants to play in the NFL.

he would make a good QB or RB but he feels his best shot is at Corner, because of his size. Dont let his size fool you.

the only problem I see is the LSU coaching staff not going after him full tilt. This dude reminds me of Deon Sanders only without all the cockiness.

I guess Phat Phil did some quick footwork where Derek is concerned to get back in the hunt. he told Coach woods LSu was closer than Knoxville and distance means something to him also.

Powe is an excellent snag. couple of great players we need to steal from mississippi or face them in a few years on the another SEC team!

Ah yes, the comfort of a teddy bear hug, a 5 year "I'm staying" assurance, and a grand in cash lovingly nestled in the rear pocket. Yea, I'm sure Fulmer's a REAL good recruiter!

Jerrel Powe, one of the top Defensive Tackles in the nation, recently committed to LSU. If he does not decommit that will be a feather in Coach Miles' hat.

I only saw portions of the 2nd half.
I'm amazed at the number of Tenn committs.
    Things I noticed about Perrilloux:
He can throw the ball a mile but he puts a big arch on it.
On the double reverse and throw to RP, he didn't seem like he had 4.5 speed to me. He didn't look as fast as I was expecting. Maybe the DB that was chasing him down is just extremely fast.

A couple of scrambles and jukes that RP did, was as quick as I was expecting. Maybe I just had Vick expectations or something because I haven't seen him play. He is quicker than Russell though.

RP caught the ball while backpeddling, so he basically started running from a near stand still...while the DB that was closing on him was running down the field to try to break up the play. After he turned and took off it was amazing he actually made it to the endzone before the DB caught up to him - he looked fast to me. He is not a 4.3 guy though, so you'd expect the CB to have the speed edge in the open field.
