Okafor is getting this over with quick. Will decide by Mid March to early April. Will visit Stanford. Has already visited LSU and Texas. Will decide between these 3. My guess is LSU slight lean.
I think it's 60/40 Texas, but things can change on a dime when calls are made and recruiting tales are told as we've all witnessed. I don't think Stanford is a legitimate threat...but again things change and he's visiting the campus soon.
Okafor lives 20 minutes from Austin, Scott was from California and has a uncle on the Colorado team. Completely different situations they really wanted Scott and felt they had a really good shot at him but Okafor is almost literally from their backyard they so fully expect to keep him at home
We were convinced we'd sign Ryan Perrilloux and Jai Eugene too. The fact is we have a legit shot at Okafor, but to discount their information on a kid so close is foolish. They lead if they say they lead...we'll see how it turns out since they already have two DEs committed - but Okafor is one of their top priorities and it would be a major coup.
They did lead for Darrell Scott...just days before signing day he had made up his mind he was going to Texas.
