As a Grad Student, I worked on the release of Neurotransmitters in the brain associated with Depression. I'll have to say, it warms my heart to see all you guys take that disorder seriously. I can remember the time when people just told men to "suck it up" ... "stop being a wus" .. etc. It sounds, as Stacy already mentioned, that he has bipolar, which is really hard to get under control. I hope he can beat this battle. That's really tuff stuff to deal with.
I guess it is not official until Miles announces this...although there is something on Roto World about him quitting the team. I hope he gets things turned around and his life in order. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pl...ews.asp?sport=CFB&id=131338&line=21512&spln=1
Ton of wild rumors but he hasn't quit the team at this time and could be back at LSU soon. I don't think he will play this weekend. Not football related.
Some sense in the midst of total conjecture. Please people do you really believe that he has played here for three years with a bipolar depression disorder? This is insane. I wish Hurst the best no matter. He will always be one of the hardest working O line man I have ever seen. Until facts come out, let's not jump on some hypothetical bandwagon.
Actually it could be very possible. TCU had a DE a few years ago that as a junior made 1st team AA and was destined to a top 5 draft pick...............during the time between seasons his disorder hit full stride and I don't think he even finished his college career. Not sure they are the SAME issues but sound very similar. Google Tommy Blake.
Maybe he has herpes, aids, his girlfriend broke up with him, or any other thing you can make up. They are all a possibility. Very sad thread.
