For all of you bashign the kid for decommitting... he committed under after Jimbo said that he would be the only qb recruited by LSU this year... then LSU stopped calling him... He said he rarely hears from them (most schools call their commits several times a week) and has been seeing them go after Tebow and Smelley... Its no wonder that he decided LSU wasnt the place for him...

Tebow.... That's what happened. Cate seems pretty P.O.'ed about finding out LSU's extending official invites to Tebow, etc.

No. It means that with Tebow showing interest (which I think Tebow is playing us), the coaching staff started directing attention back his way and sort of forgot about Cate.

Relax, buddy. It's only November. Signing day isn't for a few months and things will change with everyone. Lots of teams will lose commitments and gain new ones.

We're still sitting with a top 5 recruiting class with or without Cate. We might drop from the 3-spot, for the time being, but I think we're still doing ok.

Yuck, this blows. Should've just stuck with Cate and told Tebow no thanks. Tebow is pretty much enrolled at UF as far as I see it, Bama could have an outside shot, but we were never in it. If Tebow goes to Bama then we could pick up Chris Smelley, but that's a downgrade.

I would not worry too much about Cate decommitment. LSU has three of the best QBs in the nation. Heck, I'm not even sure that Cate can beat out Early Doucet as a QB.

BTW, I dont think it is a coincident that Cate committed to OK St.

One of the QB's could easily transfer after this year. Another QB on the roster would've been nice.

And what does that Oklahoma State comment mean?

Kteam is a neagative nanny, has been all eyar :D A 'couple of 4 stars'? Vast majority of our commits are 4 stars or above...No team, outside of USC, has multiple 5stars every year.

exactly. His "commitment" to us was changed.... Hopefully, once this all blows over, and it's Dec., he will come back.... Not counting on it, but it would be nice.

Like someone else said, it would be nice to have another scholarship QB on the roster...
