The Abita alcoholic root beer is just beer with sugar and artificial flavoring. It is neither good beer nor good root beer.
It's great stuff......for the first sip or two. Then it quickly becomes really hard to drink. I gummed back about 3/4 of a bottle once then had to throw it away.
I like beer a lot but rarely drink more than one of the same beer in a night. For example, if I'm at a bar, I'll get a different beer each time. If I'm drinking at home, I usually get those sampler 6 packs. I don't think I'd ever drink more than one of the Abita Bootlegger root beer but liked it enough that I may start adding it to the sampler 6 pack if I see it available.
