They sell beer on campus. I used to use my meal plan to buy beer (Bad idea).

Also as for LSU wont change a thing, everyone in our stadium already has liquor and beer on them.
Also they would save money if they would offer softdrinks half full, preventing us from throwing half of it out..

SEC is what is holding us back. The Georgia Dome doesn't sell beer at the SEC championship game because of the rule. The places in stadiums where you can buy the alcohol (suites) aren't technically connected to the stadium as I understand it.

I don't think alcohol should be sold inside Tiger Stadium, or any collegiate venue for that matter.

    no.
when I was still a student a Nicholls, we'd geaux out to the empty field by the stadium, get as drunk as we could before kick-off (usually a day game), drink some more in the stadium, leave to go buy more beer, then head to someone's house to watch the LSU game that night.

    why not?
people all over campus are drinking a sh!tpot of it anyway.
why not turn a profit on the stuff?

because liability insurance would cost a hell of alot more for a venue of 90,000 + that sells alcohol, which would drive ticket prices up, parking etc etc. plus when i was younger and used to drink, the game itself was sober up time, also the last thing i want is beer spilled all over my kid, wife, and myself.

and shane no i dont think they should sell weed at the games, the last thing we need is a passive crowd, they should pass it out on the way out :yelwink2:

When I was at UNO, the beer was on campus...at 6:00am...right there next to the chocolate milk in the breakfast line at the "Cove".

I never got one that early in the morning, but it was comforting to know it was right there in case I needed it !!!

LSU has enough problems with game-day drunks right now. Selling alcohol would open them up to numerous lawsuits from every fight, fender-bender, or any other alcohol-related incident.

Alcohol sales start with the OK from the Conf. Then each school can decide what they want to do. When my son played in CUSA, Cinn, UL,
South Fla, USM, MEM, Tulane and Houston all sold beer. In MWC, SDSU,
UNLV, and one other school I can't remember did also. I think alcohol consumption in the larger conf gets the same reception it does in Iraq
    and Afghan for the troops.:geaux:
