Alcohol in College Stadiums???

    Good morning all. I was checking out the local affiliate's website and came across this interesting tidbit. Does anyone know if LSU's intentions are to begin this? I wasn't aware that it was "legal" to sell alcohol at college functions. Thanks for any info.

    Beer at Cajun Field!

    NOTE TO ULALA ADMINISTRATION: Winning football team will put people in your stadium not alcohol. People can stay home and drink.

    That's Great!!!! Might be the best slogan for them and the only way to get more than a few hundred people to the games.

    If the newly formed booster club sees this, you might be up for chief marketer for them. Good luck with that, they need help. :lol:

    But the atmosphere pales in comparison. Why stay home and drink when you can bask in the ULL game day experience and drink?

    Bob Broadhead wanted to sell beer in Tiger Stadium when he was AD, but the BOS shot it down quickly.

    San Jose State has sold beer at both their football and basketball games, as they play in municipal stadiums. Only reason to go to their games.

    tulane sells beer at turchin stadium for baseball.

    i think ull was brilliant for doing that. maybe if they get the fans drunk enough, they wont actually notice what is going on on the field and want to come back.

    Southern Miss should seriously consider doing this. No matter how good or bad they are, their seats are empty.

    One time I went to The Rock back in the day they played aTm and the stadium seemed relatively full......for about a quarter.
