Tigerskin, Ryan was quoted as saying that he told his coach that he liked Texas and that it was one of his favorites. His psychotic coach then turned that into Ryan calling UT and committing to the frickin lame ass OC and this phantom email showing up in Ryan's inbox from Mack Brown saying "hey cool, I am too busy to actually call you personally....kisses". Now come on dawg.....
A couple of hundred miles. Pineville is north of Alexandria and East St. John is in Reseve or Laplace.
As long as martin's not Sourdoughman now, then I'm OK wid it...
BengalB, I think he's talkin' about RP ridin' th' bench @ UT... ...Pineville... ...get it???? Or it's quite possible that his sense of humor isn't that refined and it was just a random question...
Dude, when I lived there, it was JACKSON.... ...which is where my dear grandmother lived in a house next to the bank downtown... ...what's your excuse???? :hihi:
I did not understand that post whatsoever. When I grew up in Kaplan, if we joked about someone's mental state of mind, we always joked that they belonged in Pineville. What's in Jackson? Oh well, so much for that joke.
Jackson was where the state mental institution was for many years... ...and we in Red Stick joked about folks who belonged in Jackson... ...in fact, one of the patients escaped and broke into my grandmother's house in the late 40's. He stole my dad's Navy uniform out of a closet and then proceeded to try to rent a room from my grandmother (she had a huge house and had 6 rooms upstairs that she would rent out). His ruse didn't work, as my father was 6'3" and this guy was 6"-8" shorter. My grandmother noticed how badly the uniform fit immediately and stalled him. She then went into another room and called the authorities, who promptly picked up the escapee and returned him back to where he belonged... A great family story...
There was also a state mental hospital in Pineville. I'm not sure if it is still open or not but at one time, there was one there. Tigerskin, don't believe anything RP's coach says. You, along with thousands of Texas fans, were duped. RP did not commit to Texas and will wait until after his senior season to announce.
