Same guys as last year on the OLine minus the two Tackles that are in the NFL. I believe Hawkins and Alexander are better than our current tackles. So the Oline in my opinion was better last year. LF had 39 yards last year. Etling and the game plan is the key vs Bama. I like Danny a whole lot better than Harris. Screens and quick passes will be the key for LSU. I would love to see Kiffen over compensate and have them throw pick 6's all night.
If the pass-block is effective and the run D forces their pass, we do quite well. Plus OJ Howard is like in his eighth year at Bama so old age should be slowing him down a bit.
Who has Alabama really beat? Tennessee just lost to South Carolina. Kentucky lost to Southern Miss a team we blew out and Arkansas got raped by Auburn. This is the best teams both teams have faced. Alabama hasn't seen a defense like ours all year and not to mention it's at home. Jalen Hurts really isn't any better at throwing the deep ball than Danny Etling is. Realistically I think this game is close.
Alabama has won 20 straight. We have won 3 in a row. Saban is going for his 5th NC in 10 years. The difference is Saban and history mixed with the present. All his teams are basically just a copy of the previous ones despite attrition to the NFL. Just currently with a better offense. We can still win. We've pissed 2 away of the last 5 due to Elmer. We may piss this one away too but it won't be from under-utilizing our talent. The last 5 years must be akin to watching your gifted child go to waste in a shitty public school year after year.
Been feeling better and better about this game. I think the D will keep them in check. The question is can the OL hang in strong enough for us to score 24+? I think they do and the Tigers roar 27-17.
