In the interest of tweaking Bama fans and making sure any national media cruising the forums see this I'm reposting what OkieTigerTK wrote: Quote: slmandel Stewart Mandel Bama: 4. Ok St: 7. RT @G_Guarantee: @slmandel how many FBS teams with winning records has Alabama faced this year? What about Okla St? And TigersTailgaiting pointed out Alabama's strength of schedule is only 31 in the nation, behind Ok. St. So yes, Alabama only beat 4 teams with winning records. It blows my mind that Bama fans can't even admit that a strong case can be made for why some other 1 loss teams deserves to be in the NCG.
I firmly believe that LSU really just had a bad game against Bama and we still managed to snag a W If we rematch, we blow bama away by atleast 2 scores
I agree. I think everyone pretty much got psyched out on that game. While the numbers did predict a tie 17-17, with a slight edge to LSU, I think LSU played a game plan to beat Bama at Bama's game. We did that ... now let's beat them with our game, which should be more than 3 points in overtime.
Two major factors that will change. 1. The JJ Gameplan will be much more effective against Bama. 2. Miles will be forced to open up the offense a bit. He was ultra-conservative in that game. Saban threw everything he had at LSU.
That is what worries me most. Saban having time and knowing WHAT to prepare for more. Like Miles when we played GT.
Our game IS Bama's game... We look like a junior Bama. By that I mean we are a slightly smaller version of them. I actually think Bama the more complete team but unforced and forced errors made the difference.
Bama lost to LSU in the their beloved Bryant Denny field. Regardless of the missed opportunity field goals. We also had missed opportunities with the interceptions by Lee. So I they are gonna say they could have won if they made the field goals we can also say we would have won if Lee would have thrown TD passes on those attempts. End of the day they lost and will lose much worse in a rematch played in new Orleans. It's really irrelevant who we play we will beat them and someone else will claim they should have played us cause they would have won. Yes Alabama is a good team just not on the tiger level. I do not think they deserve a rematch but welcome the challenge. The best thing they can do is go to another bowl and live out their days talking about what could have been. Because another loss to us would take all the excuses away.
Works both ways though. Miles has the same amount of time to prepare. Difference is, we've seen everything they've got first-hand already. They, on the other hand, have only faced a fraction of what our offense now consists of due to the conservative playcalling and lack of reps for JJ at the time. Advantage: LSU.
