Bama will beat the gators in a very close one. They have a better coach in Nick Saban and defense. This win is for the road.
Alabama opened as a 6 point favorite against the gators at the swamp. Somewhere around 4 as I speak, well, as I write. Truth be told not much anyone knows about the new regime in Gainesville. I look for Weis to work hard at getting Demps and Rainey out wide through the short passing routes. They talk about their vertically passing attack, but they haven't done much yet to prove they can do it. Brantley is protecting some sore ribs so not sure how long they want to hold the ball. As always, they will try to load the box on D and I eventually see Trent and Lacy making them pay. AJ is going to get some good looks down field, he needs to connect early and often. I see another slug-fest with Alabama winning 30-17. Don't think LSU will be playing the same Florida team we get, but that is the SEC.
Their names came up a lot when they were freshmen, that is for sure. Another reason to question how in the world they let Mike Blakely their 200 lbs. 4* running back out of town, much less to the barn. Still we need to stop the run and make Brantley win the day.[/QUOTE] For Florida to win they will have to throw the ball, which they have not been able to do thus far. No need due to teams they have played. D-back are too small - front seven very good and no dept. Bama win easly - 35 - 7
Turnovers mean everything. For fl to win they must be +2 or +3 without having any themselves. Let's hope bama has an interception festival and throws them like mardi GRAS beads!
